Job Description

Senior Medical Physicist (Radiotherapy) in Dubai

The Company

A leading government healthcare organisation in Dubai is opening a brand-new, purpose-built cancer hospital that will bring diagnosis, treatment and supportive care together under one roof. Care will be delivered by multidisciplinary teams, with research and clinical trials at the heart of the service and a strong focus on patient and family wellbeing, including calm, healing spaces designed around the people who use them.

The Role

Help establish the radiotherapy physics service in a brand-new facility, playing a key role from equipment commissioning through to first patient treatments and beyond.

  • Contribute to the commissioning of radiotherapy equipment and treatment planning systems.
  • Develop physics quality assurance programmes, procedures and safety standards.
  • Work closely with radiation oncologists and therapy radiographers as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Support training, service development and research.

Requirements:

  • MSc or PhD in Medical Physics, with professional registration (e.g. HCPC Clinical Scientist UK, or a European Medical Physics Expert).
  • Several years’ senior experience in radiotherapy physics in a dedicated cancer hospital or cancer centre.
  • Hands-on commissioning experience is a strong advantage.

General Benefits:

  • Attractive, tax-free salary package, negotiable for the right candidate.
  • Government benefits, including family medical cover.
  • A rare chance to shape a new cancer hospital from the ground up, including its culture, standards and ways of working.
  • Live and work in Dubai: tax-free income, year-round sunshine, excellent international schools and a safe, cosmopolitan lifestyle.

If you are ready to help build something exceptional and your experience matches the requirements, we would love to hear from you.
