Frequently Asked Questions

How do I register for your packages?

You can browse our Packages section and select the service that suits your needs. If you wish to confirm your eligibility before committing, you may purchase our Primary Assessment Package.

How can Doctor Expat assist me?

UAE licensing can be complex due to different authorities, regulations, and systems. We simplify the entire process for a nominal fee. Just share your profession, basic details, and documents. We handle eligibility checks, DataFlow, exam guidance, and licensing submissions.

How does the process work?

After you register for a package, you will receive an email requesting your details and required documents. Once your eligibility is confirmed, we begin the licensing process with the relevant authority.

Am I eligible for exam exemption?

Exam exemptions are granted strictly at the discretion of the examination committee. Even if you meet the educational and experience criteria, exemption is not guaranteed. All supporting documents must be uploaded for review.

Can I apply for a UAE license without an active license in my home country?

No. Under the unified PQR, only licensed clinical experience is accepted.

What kind of information would this be?

Requirements vary by profession but generally include:

  • Colour copies of educational certificates
  • Passport + passport-size photograph
  • Experience certificates (last 2–5 years depending on category)
  • Good Standing Certificate (issued within 6 months)
  • Home-country medical or nursing registration
  • Surgeons: 2-year logbook signed by the Medical Director
What is PSV?

Primary Source Verification (PSV), conducted by DataFlow, verifies your qualifications, experience, training, and license authenticity.

What is the validity for Good Standing Certificate (GSC)?

A GSC is valid for 6 months. Some countries (e.g., UK) issue certificates valid for 3 months.

What do you mean by Good Standing Certificate (GSC)?

It confirms:

  • Your right to practice
  • No suspensions or bans
  • No concerns regarding your professional conduct
How long does the licensing process take?

Once we receive complete documents, the entire process takes approximately 8–10 weeks. DataFlow alone may take up to 3 months, depending on verifier response times.

What happens after DataFlow submission?

Once your DataFlow is submitted or completed, we guide you to schedule your exam (if applicable). You may sit the exam before DataFlow completion, but your license will be issued only after both DataFlow and the exam are cleared.

Are exam fees included in the package?

No. Exam fees are paid directly to Prometric or Pearson VUE, depending on the authority.

What are Dual and Triple License Packages?

These allow you to apply for multiple authorities (DHA/DOH/MOH) under one service package.

Why apply for more than one Emirate?

Multiple licenses increase the number of job opportunities and improve your chances of receiving employment offers faster.

Will my Dual/Triple applications be submitted at the same time?

No. We submit the first authority application, wait for DataFlow completion, and then apply for the second/third authority to avoid unnecessary cost duplication.

Why not apply simultaneously?

Applying simultaneously doubles the DataFlow cost. With the unified PQR, a completed DataFlow report can be transferred, saving time and money.

What if I already have a DataFlow report?

Send it to us. If your report is transferable or verifiable, we adjust the package cost accordingly.

Do I need to take exams in the UAE?

Prometric exams can be taken in 135+ countries. DOH Pearson VUE exams for certain specialties may require taking the test inside the UAE.

Can Doctor Expat help me find a job?

Yes. We provide job search support and placement assistance, though placement cannot be guaranteed. You may contact our team for more information.

What if I fail the exam?

You may rebook and repay for the exam. After three unsuccessful attempts, a two-year cooling period may apply before reapplication.

Where is your office located?

Please refer to our Contact Us page for directions and office details.

Can I apply for jobs before getting a license?

Yes, some employers may sponsor your licensing. However, having a license increases your chances of securing a job faster.

How long is a UAE license valid?

Licenses are renewed annually. Requirements include:

  • 30 CPD points
  • Valid malpractice insurance
  • Continuous practice proof
  • Updated CPD uploads
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:

  • Debit/credit cards
  • Bank transfers
What is “License Unification”?

The new PQR has unified qualification standards across DHA, DOH, and MOH.
However, you must still apply separately to each authority.
An eligibility letter from one authority cannot be used to practice under another authority.
