Chief of Radiation Oncology in Dubai
The Company
A leading government healthcare organisation in Dubai is opening a brand-new, purpose-built cancer hospital that will bring diagnosis, treatment and supportive care together under one roof. Care will be delivered by multidisciplinary teams, with research and clinical trials at the heart of the service and a strong focus on patient and family wellbeing, including calm, healing spaces designed around the people who use them.
The Role
Lead the radiation oncology service from launch and build a modern radiotherapy department with patient safety, quality and innovation at its core. As Chief, you will shape the service, the team and the way radiotherapy is delivered at the new hospital.
- Lead the radiation oncology department through commissioning, opening and growth.
- Work alongside physics and radiography leads to establish safe, high-quality radiotherapy services.
- Recruit, mentor and develop a high-performing clinical team.
- Develop treatment protocols, quality assurance and multidisciplinary pathways, and support research and clinical trials.
Requirements:
- Board certification in clinical/radiation oncology (e.g. FRCR UK, or a recognised European specialist qualification).
- Several years at consultant level in a dedicated cancer hospital or cancer centre.
- Leadership experience, ideally including setting up or expanding a radiotherapy service.
- Commissioning experience is desirable.
- Eligible for UAE licensing.
