Role Overview
As a Consultant in Neuromuscular Medicine (PM&R), you will diagnose and manage patients with neuromuscular disorders, develop individualized rehabilitation programs, and work closely with neurologists, orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other rehabilitation specialists to improve patient function and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage neuromuscular disorders and related functional impairments.
- Develop comprehensive rehabilitation and long-term patient care plans.
- Perform functional assessments and coordinate multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs.
- Collaborate with neurology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and rehabilitation teams.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment strategies to optimize recovery.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with UAE healthcare standards.
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and continuing medical education initiatives.
- Provide patient and family education on rehabilitation goals and long-term management.
Requirements
- Consultant qualification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R) or a related specialty.
- Subspecialty training or significant experience in Neuromuscular Medicine.
- Experience managing neuromuscular disorders and functional rehabilitation.
- Proficiency in diagnostic evaluation and long-term rehabilitation planning.
- Previous experience in a tertiary care hospital preferred.
- Eligible for DOH Consultant licensure.
