Role Overview
DrExpat is hiring a Consultant in Brain Injury Medicine (PM&R) for a prestigious hospital in Al Ain. This opportunity is ideal for experienced rehabilitation physicians specializing in traumatic and acquired brain injuries who are passionate about restoring functional independence and improving long-term patient outcomes.
You will work within a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team to manage patients across acute, post-acute, and long-term recovery programs using evidence-based rehabilitation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage patients with traumatic and acquired brain injuries.
- Develop individualized rehabilitation plans focused on functional recovery and quality of life.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care with neurology, neurosurgery, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and psychology teams.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust rehabilitation goals throughout recovery.
- Manage complications associated with brain injuries and optimize long-term outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations.
- Participate in clinical governance, rehabilitation program development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Consultant qualification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R).
- Specialized training or significant experience in Brain Injury Medicine.
- Experience managing traumatic and acquired brain injury patients.
- Expertise in acute and post-acute rehabilitation pathways.
- Experience in a tertiary rehabilitation or trauma center is preferred.
- Eligible for DOH Consultant licensure.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: AED 85,000 – AED 95,000 per month
