Role Overview – GP Pediatrician

As a GP Pediatrician, you will provide comprehensive medical care to infants, children, and adolescents while supporting emergency pediatric services and managing critically ill children with your PICU experience.

You will collaborate with pediatric specialists, intensivists, emergency physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based pediatric care and ensure the highest standards of patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage common pediatric medical conditions
• Provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric care
• Manage pediatric emergencies and critically ill children when required
• Perform comprehensive pediatric examinations and clinical assessments
• Develop personalised treatment and follow-up plans
• Educate parents and caregivers regarding child health and preventive care
• Collaborate with pediatric specialists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DHA regulations
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing medical education initiatives
• Deliver evidence-based pediatric healthcare in line with international clinical standards

Requirements

• Medical Degree from a recognised institution
• MD, DNB, or equivalent qualification in Pediatrics
• Minimum 2–3 years of recent Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience (mandatory)
• Valid DHA, DOH, or MOH Licence or Eligibility preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and emergency management skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital environment
• UAE experience is preferred but not essential

Salary: Up to AED 32,000 per month
