Role Overview – Specialist Anesthesiologist

As a Specialist Anesthesiologist, you will provide safe and effective anaesthesia care before, during, and after surgical procedures while working closely with surgeons, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

You will be responsible for comprehensive pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anaesthesia management, post-operative pain control, and critical patient monitoring to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive pre-operative patient assessments
• Develop individualised anaesthesia plans based on surgical and patient requirements
• Administer general, regional, and local anaesthesia safely and effectively
• Monitor patients throughout surgical procedures and respond to emergencies
• Manage post-operative recovery and pain control
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, operating theatre staff, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with DHA regulations
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Ensure compliance with evidence-based anaesthesia practices
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centred perioperative care

Requirements

• Medical Degree from a recognised institution
• MD, DNB, Facharzt, or equivalent qualification in Anesthesiology
• Valid DHA, DOH, or MOH License or Eligibility preferred
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience
• Strong experience in pre-operative assessment, intra-operative anaesthesia management, and post-operative care
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Bilingual communication skills (Arabic and English) preferred
• UAE experience highly preferred
• Excellent clinical judgement, communication, and decision-making skills
