Role Overview – Surgical Staff Nurse

As a Surgical Staff Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients before and after surgery while supporting surgeons, anesthetists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams throughout the patient’s surgical journey.

You will monitor patient recovery, deliver post-operative care, educate patients and families, and ensure compliance with international nursing standards and UAE healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-operative and post-operative nursing care
• Monitor patients following surgical procedures
• Perform wound care, dressing changes, and infection prevention measures
• Administer medications and monitor patient recovery
• Assess patients and promptly report changes in clinical condition
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records
• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative recovery
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthetists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Follow international patient safety and infection control standards
• Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of surgical ward or perioperative nursing experience
• Experience in post-operative care, wound management, and patient monitoring
• Candidates from the UK, Ireland, South Africa, and the Philippines preferred
• DHA Eligibility or willingness to complete the DHA licensing process
• Excellent clinical assessment, communication, and teamwork skills

Salary & Benefits

Salary: AED 8,060 – AED 18,000 per month (depending on experience)
