Senior Consultant in Palliative Medicine in Dubai

The Company

A leading government healthcare organisation in Dubai is opening a brand-new, purpose-built cancer hospital that will bring diagnosis, treatment and supportive care together under one roof. Care will be delivered by multidisciplinary teams, with research and clinical trials at the heart of the service and a strong focus on patient and family wellbeing, including calm, healing spaces designed around the people who use them.

The Role

Establish and lead the palliative and supportive care service, making sure patients and families are supported from diagnosis onwards with compassionate, holistic care.

• Set up palliative and supportive care pathways across inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Work within the multidisciplinary team to integrate palliative care early in the patient journey.
• Support patients and families with symptom management, advance care planning and holistic care.
• Contribute to teaching, service development and research.

Requirements:

• Specialist certification in Palliative Medicine (e.g. CCT UK, or a recognised European specialist qualification).
• Several years at consultant level, with substantial experience in a dedicated cancer hospital or cancer centre.
• Eligible for UAE licensing.
