Role Overview – Pediatric Specialist with PICU Experience

As a Pediatric Specialist with strong PICU experience, you will provide specialised care for infants, children, and adolescents while managing critically ill paediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and advanced life-support interventions.

Working alongside paediatric intensivists, emergency physicians, neonatologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, you will deliver evidence-based care to improve clinical outcomes for critically ill children.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic paediatric conditions
• Assess and manage critically ill children within the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• Provide advanced paediatric life-support and ventilator management
• Manage neonatal and paediatric emergency cases
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans for critically ill patients
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as required
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centred paediatric care

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised institution
• Specialisation in Pediatrics (MD, DCH, Arab Board, or equivalent)
• Substantial experience working within a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
• Minimum 5 years of paediatric experience with strong PICU exposure
• Valid DHA, DOH, or MOH Licence or Eligibility
• Expertise in managing critically ill children, including ventilator support
• Experience managing neonatal and paediatric emergency cases
• Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills
