Role Overview – Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist
As a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of psychiatric and behavioral disorders affecting children and adolescents. You will work closely with psychologists, pediatricians, therapists, educators, and families to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered mental healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, diagnose, and manage psychiatric disorders in children and adolescents
- Develop individualized treatment and care plans
- Provide pharmacological and psychological treatment recommendations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
- Support and educate patients and their families throughout treatment
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Follow international psychiatric guidelines and patient safety standards
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement, and continuing medical education
Requirements
- Tier 1 qualification (UK CCT/GMC Specialist Register or American Board)
- Arabic speaker (mandatory)
- Consultant-level experience in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
- Strong patient- and family-centered clinical approach
- Experience working within multidisciplinary teams
- Eligibility for DHA Consultant license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Salary & Benefits
Salary: AED 85,000 – AED 95,000 per month
