Role Overview – Medical-Surgical Paediatric Staff Nurse

As a Medical-Surgical Paediatric Staff Nurse, you will provide comprehensive nursing care for infants, children, and adolescents admitted for medical and surgical treatment.

You will work closely with paediatricians, surgeons, therapists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe, compassionate, and family-centred care throughout each patient’s hospital stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to paediatric medical and surgical patients
• Monitor patient condition and identify changes requiring medical intervention
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
• Provide post-operative nursing care and wound management
• Educate parents and families on treatment plans and discharge care
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and patient records
• Collaborate with paediatricians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and quality care protocols
• Support children and families throughout the hospital experience
• Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of paediatric medical-surgical nursing experience
• Strong experience in paediatric inpatient care
• Candidates from the UK, Ireland, South Africa, and the Philippines preferred
• DHA Eligibility or willingness to complete the DHA licensing process
• Excellent communication skills with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Salary & Benefits

Salary: AED 8,060 – AED 18,000 per month (depending on experience)
