Role Overview – Specialist Urologist

As a Specialist Urologist, you will diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of urological conditions while providing comprehensive outpatient consultations and performing minor urological procedures.

Working closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, you will develop personalised treatment plans, promote preventive urological care, and deliver evidence-based clinical services that improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage male and female urological conditions
• Conduct comprehensive outpatient urology consultations
• Perform minor urological procedures within your scope of practice
• Develop personalised treatment and follow-up plans
• Interpret laboratory investigations and diagnostic imaging
• Refer complex cases for advanced surgical management when appropriate
• Educate patients regarding treatment options and preventive care
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with DOH regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives

Requirements

• Specialist qualification in Urology
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialty clinical experience
• Experience in outpatient urology practice and minor procedures
• DOH Specialist Licence or Eligibility is required
• Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and patient management skills
