Role Overview – Specialist Pulmonologist

As a Specialist Pulmonologist, you will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions, including chronic lung diseases and acute pulmonary disorders.

You will conduct outpatient consultations, interpret pulmonary investigations, develop personalised treatment plans, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive respiratory care.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic respiratory diseases
• Conduct comprehensive outpatient pulmonary consultations
• Interpret pulmonary function tests and respiratory investigations
• Manage patients with asthma, COPD, respiratory infections, and sleep-related breathing disorders
• Develop personalised treatment and long-term disease management plans
• Perform respiratory assessments and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with DHA regulations
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives
• Stay updated with advances in respiratory medicine and pulmonary care

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with Specialisation in Pulmonology
• DHA, DOH, or MOH Licence or Eligibility Letter as Specialist Pulmonologist
• Minimum 3 years of post-specialisation clinical experience
• Expertise in managing acute and chronic respiratory diseases
• Experience in pulmonary function testing, asthma, COPD, sleep disorders, and respiratory infections
• Ability to independently manage outpatient respiratory cases
• Arabic-speaking candidates will be an advantage
• Strong communication, diagnostic, and patient management skills
