Role Overview – Specialist Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon

As a Specialist Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Surgeon, you will diagnose, treat, and manage a wide range of foot and ankle disorders using both surgical and non-surgical treatment approaches.

You will work closely with physiotherapists, radiologists, sports medicine physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive musculoskeletal care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage foot and ankle injuries and musculoskeletal disorders
• Perform elective and trauma-related foot and ankle surgical procedures
• Develop personalised treatment and rehabilitation plans
• Assess fractures, deformities, arthritis, tendon injuries, and sports-related conditions
• Interpret X-rays, CT scans, MRI, and other diagnostic imaging
• Provide comprehensive outpatient consultations and post-operative follow-up
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with DHA regulations
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing medical education
• Stay updated with advances in orthopedic foot and ankle surgery

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from a recognised institution
• Completion of a recognised Orthopedic Surgery residency programme
• Fellowship training or subspecialty certification in Foot and Ankle Surgery (mandatory)
• Board Certification or equivalent qualification in Orthopedic Surgery
• Valid medical licence or eligibility for DHA licensure
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgery
• Arabic language skills are an advantage
• Strong clinical, surgical, and patient communication skills

Salary & Benefits

Salary: AED 50,000 – AED 65,000 per month
