The Company

The client provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic healthcare services across Obstetrics & Gynecology, General Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, General Surgery, and Emergency Medicine.

The hospital is equipped with four modern operating theatres and a dedicated hemodialysis unit featuring nine dialysis stations for both adult and pediatric patients. Role Overview – Specialist Gastroenterologist

As a Specialist Gastroenterologist, you will diagnose, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic gastrointestinal disorders while performing diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures.

You will collaborate with surgeons, internists, radiologists, pathologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide evidence-based digestive healthcare and improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases
• Perform upper gastrointestinal endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures
• Evaluate and manage liver, pancreatic, and intestinal disorders
• Develop personalised treatment and follow-up plans
• Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging, and endoscopic findings
• Provide outpatient consultations and inpatient gastroenterology care
• Educate patients regarding digestive health and disease prevention
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing medical education initiatives

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent)
• Completed residency and specialist qualification in Gastroenterology
• Board Certification or equivalent qualification (Arab Board, CCT, or equivalent)
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-qualification experience
• Proficiency in upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, and other endoscopic procedures
• Ability to manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal diseases
• UAE clinical experience preferred
• Arabic-speaking candidates preferred
• Valid DOH, DHA, or MOH Licence or Eligibility
• Strong communication and patient-care skills
