Role Overview – Specialist Emergency Medicine
As a Specialist in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, you will provide immediate assessment, diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment for infants and children presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. You will collaborate closely with pediatricians, surgeons, intensivists, nurses, and emergency department teams to ensure high-quality, evidence-based emergency care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage pediatric emergency cases promptly and effectively.
- Stabilize critically ill and injured children requiring urgent intervention.
- Perform pediatric emergency procedures and advanced life support.
- Diagnose and manage acute pediatric illnesses and trauma cases.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary emergency and pediatric teams.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Follow international emergency medicine protocols and patient safety standards.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with specialization in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Pediatric Emergency Room (ER) settings.
- Valid DOH/HAAD License or Eligibility Letter.
- Strong clinical skills in pediatric emergency assessment and stabilization.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Arabic-speaking or Western-trained candidates preferred.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: AED 45,000 – AED 55,000 per month
