Role Overview – Specialist / Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist

As a Specialist or Consultant Obstetrician & Gynecologist, you will provide comprehensive women’s healthcare, including antenatal care, labour and delivery management, gynecological consultations, and surgical procedures.

You will work closely with neonatologists, anesthesiologists, fertility specialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based care while ensuring excellent maternal and fetal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage normal and high-risk pregnancies from antenatal care through delivery
• Perform vaginal deliveries and Caesarean sections
• Diagnose and manage a wide range of gynecological conditions
• Perform gynecological surgical procedures where appropriate
• Provide preventive women’s healthcare and routine screening
• Deliver outpatient consultations and follow-up care
• Educate patients on reproductive health and pregnancy care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DHA regulations
• Participate in quality improvement and continuing medical education initiatives

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognised institution
• Specialist or Consultant qualification in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Currently practising in Dubai private hospitals preferred
• Well-established patient base with strong delivery volumes
• Valid DHA Licence preferred
• Strong experience managing normal and high-risk pregnancies
• Arabic language skills are an advantage
• Excellent patient communication and relationship-building skills
• Energetic, professional, and team-oriented approach
