Role Overview – Fetal Medicine Consultant

As a Fetal Medicine Consultant, you will provide expert care for women with high-risk pregnancies while performing advanced fetal assessments, prenatal diagnostics, and specialised fetal procedures.

Working closely with obstetricians, neonatologists, radiologists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams, you will deliver evidence-based maternal-fetal care that ensures the best possible outcomes for both mother and baby.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage high-risk pregnancies and complex maternal-fetal conditions
• Perform advanced fetal ultrasound and prenatal diagnostic assessments
• Interpret fetal imaging and genetic screening results
• Carry out specialised fetal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures where appropriate
• Develop personalised management plans for high-risk pregnancies
• Counsel expectant parents regarding fetal conditions and treatment options
• Collaborate with obstetricians, neonatologists, genetic specialists, and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with DHA regulations
• Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
• Stay updated with advances in fetal medicine and maternal healthcare

Requirements

• Medical Degree from a recognised institution
• DHA Eligibility as Consultant (Tier 1 or Tier 2)
• Fellowship in Fetal Medicine or Maternal-Fetal Medicine
• 8–10 years of relevant Consultant-level experience
• Expertise in managing high-risk pregnancies and fetal diagnostics
• Experience in advanced fetal imaging and specialised fetal procedures
• Strong communication and patient counselling skills
• Commitment to evidence-based maternal and fetal healthcare

Salary & Benefits

Salary: AED 75,000 – AED 85,000 per month
