Role Overview – Consultant Neurosurgeon

As a Consultant Neurosurgeon, you will diagnose and treat disorders affecting the brain, spine, and nervous system while performing complex cranial and spinal surgical procedures.

You will collaborate with neurologists, intensivists, radiologists, anaesthesiologists, rehabilitation specialists, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver evidence-based neurosurgical care and achieve the highest standards of patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions
• Perform cranial and spinal surgical procedures
• Evaluate patients using advanced neuroimaging and diagnostic investigations
• Develop personalised surgical and post-operative treatment plans
• Manage emergency neurosurgical cases when required
• Provide comprehensive outpatient consultations and follow-up care
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DHA regulations
• Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
• Stay updated with advances in neurosurgical techniques and technology

Requirements

• Medical Degree from a recognised institution
• Western Board or equivalent Consultant qualification in Neurosurgery
• Minimum 8–10 years of Consultant-level experience
• Expertise in cranial and spinal surgeries
• DHA, DOH, or MOH Licence or Eligibility
• Experience managing complex neurosurgical procedures
• Strong leadership, surgical, and communication skills

Salary & Benefits

Salary: AED 75,000 – AED 85,000 per month
