Role Overview – Consultant Neonatologist
As a Consultant Neonatologist, you will lead the care of critically ill newborns and premature infants in a modern Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). You will diagnose and manage complex neonatal conditions, perform advanced neonatal procedures, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based, family-centered care.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neonatal care for premature and critically ill newborns.
- Manage complex neonatal intensive care cases within the NICU.
- Perform neonatal resuscitation and advanced life-support procedures.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on international clinical guidelines.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, pediatric surgeons, anesthesiologists, and NICU nursing teams.
- Supervise junior physicians and contribute to clinical education and mentoring.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure compliance with patient safety standards.
- Support parents and families through compassionate communication and counselling.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a Consultant Neonatologist.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology.
- Proven expertise in neonatal intensive care and management of complex neonatal cases.
- Ability to lead multidisciplinary NICU teams.
- Valid DOH license or eligibility.
- Strong clinical leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: AED 85,000 – AED 95,000 per month
