Role Overview – Consultant Internal Medicine

As a Consultant Internal Medicine Physician, you will diagnose, treat, and manage adult patients with acute and chronic medical conditions while providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical care.

You will collaborate with specialists across multiple disciplines to deliver evidence-based treatment plans, coordinate patient care, and ensure the highest standards of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad spectrum of acute and chronic medical conditions
• Provide consultant-level care for inpatient and outpatient services
• Develop personalised evidence-based treatment plans
• Manage patients with multiple comorbidities and complex medical conditions
• Interpret laboratory investigations, imaging, and diagnostic tests
• Coordinate multidisciplinary patient management
• Provide preventive healthcare and chronic disease management
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with DOH regulations
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives
• Stay updated with advances in Internal Medicine and evidence-based practice

Requirements

• MBBS with MD or DNB in Internal Medicine
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consultant in Internal Medicine
• Strong expertise in managing complex medical cases
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Western Board or Tier-1 Board Certification preferred
• Valid DOH, DHA, or MOH Licence or Eligibility
• Excellent communication and clinical decision-making skills
