Role Overview – Consultant Emergency Medicine

As a Consultant in Emergency Medicine, you will provide expert care for patients presenting with acute illnesses, trauma, and medical emergencies. You will work within a fast-paced emergency department, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based emergency care and support outstanding clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients presenting with acute medical and surgical emergencies
• Lead trauma resuscitations and critical care interventions
• Diagnose and treat a broad range of emergency conditions
• Provide rapid clinical decision-making in high-pressure situations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
• Supervise and support junior medical staff where required
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in line with healthcare regulations
• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Deliver evidence-based emergency care following international best practices

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD, or equivalent) from a recognised institution
• Board Certification, CCT, or equivalent specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine
• Minimum 3–5 years of post-board experience at Consultant level in a busy tertiary or high-acuity emergency department
• Eligibility for consultant licensing in Qatar
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care

Salary & Benefits

Salary: QAR 50,000 – QAR 60,000 per month
