Role Overview – Consultant Critical Care Medicine
As a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine, you will lead the management of critically ill adult patients within the intensive care unit, provide expert clinical decision-making, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based critical care.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for specialists who are passionate about intensive care medicine and wish to build their careers within one of the UAE’s established healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Lead assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning for complex medical conditions
- Provide advanced life support and critical care interventions
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Supervise and support junior medical staff where appropriate
- Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives
- Maintain accurate patient documentation in accordance with UAE healthcare regulations
- Ensure evidence-based practices and international standards of critical care are maintained
- Support patient safety and continuous service improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Western Board, CCT, CESR, American Board, or equivalent Tier 1 qualification in Critical Care Medicine
- Minimum 3–5 years of post-board Consultant experience
- Experience in adult ICU management and multidisciplinary critical care
- Eligibility for DOH Consultant Licensure
- Experience in tertiary or academic medical centres preferred
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
Salary & Benefits
Salary: AED 85,000 plus per month
