Role Overview

As a Specialist in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine, you will assess, diagnose, and manage children with physical disabilities, developmental disorders, neurological conditions, and musculoskeletal impairments. You will work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, pediatricians, and other specialists to develop individualized rehabilitation programs that improve functional outcomes and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage children with neurological, developmental, and musculoskeletal disorders.
• Develop comprehensive rehabilitation treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
• Lead multidisciplinary rehabilitation programs alongside therapy teams.
• Manage pediatric neuro-rehabilitation and functional recovery programs.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Provide family education and guidance regarding rehabilitation goals and long-term care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in line with DHA and hospital standards.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with specialization in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation or Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine.
• American Board Certified or Western-trained candidates preferred.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine experience.
• Experience in pediatric neuro-rehabilitation, developmental disorders, and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.
• Multidisciplinary rehabilitation experience preferred.
• UAE/GCC healthcare experience is an advantage.
• Valid DHA / DOH / MOH License or eligibility preferred.
• Arabic-speaking candidates preferred.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient management skills.
