Role Overview – Consultant Pediatrics – Emergency
As a Consultant in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, you will assess, diagnose, and manage infants, children, and adolescents presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies. You will lead emergency care delivery while collaborating with pediatricians, emergency physicians, surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage pediatric emergency cases and medical emergencies.
- Perform rapid diagnosis, stabilization, and treatment of critically ill children.
- Lead pediatric resuscitation and advanced life support procedures.
- Manage trauma, respiratory emergencies, seizures, infections, and other acute pediatric conditions.
- Supervise junior physicians and emergency department staff.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital protocols.
- Participate in clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with specialization in Pediatrics or Emergency Medicine.
- Consultant-level experience in Pediatric Emergency Care.
- Valid DOH License or eligibility.
- Strong ability to manage acute pediatric emergencies.
- Willingness to work in Al Ain.
- Immediate availability or maximum 3 months’ notice period.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: AED 85,000 – AED 95,000 per month
