Role Overview – Consultant Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Urogynaecology)
As a Consultant Urogynaecologist, you will diagnose and manage complex pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and other female pelvic health conditions. You will perform advanced reconstructive procedures while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based women’s healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and manage female pelvic floor disorders and urinary incontinence
- Perform advanced urogynecological and pelvic reconstructive surgeries
- Manage complex obstetric and gynecological cases
- Develop individualized treatment plans using evidence-based clinical practice
- Collaborate with urologists, physiotherapists, radiologists, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide patient education, counseling, and post-operative follow-up
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital quality standards
- Participate in departmental audits, research, and continuing medical education
Requirements
- Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
- Consultant classification – Tier 1 qualification mandatory
- Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist with subspecialty training in Urogynaecology and Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS)
- Female candidate preferred due to patient demographics and cultural considerations
- Valid DOH license or eligibility for DOH licensing
- Proven experience at Consultant level
- Willing to work in Al Ain
- Available to join immediately or within a maximum notice period of 3 months
