Role Overview – Consultant General Pediatrician (ER)
As a Consultant General Pediatrician (ER), you will assess, diagnose, and manage infants, children, and adolescents presenting with acute illnesses and medical emergencies. You will collaborate with emergency physicians, pediatric subspecialists, intensivists, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver timely, evidence-based emergency care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and manage pediatric emergencies in a fast-paced Emergency Department
- Diagnose and treat acute illnesses, injuries, and life-threatening conditions
- Perform pediatric resuscitation and emergency stabilization procedures
- Develop evidence-based treatment and discharge plans
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management
- Educate families on treatment plans and follow-up care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with hospital protocols
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS/MD) with Board Certification in Pediatrics
- Mandatory experience in Pediatric Emergency (ER) settings
- Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience
- Strong expertise in acute pediatric care and pediatric resuscitation
- Eligibility for DOH Consultant licensure
- Arabic-speaking candidates are preferred
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills
Salary & Benefits
Salary: AED 60,000 – AED 70,000 per month
