Role Overview – Consultant General Surgeon (Colorectal)
As a Consultant General Surgeon specializing in Colorectal Surgery, you will diagnose and manage a wide range of colorectal diseases while performing advanced minimally invasive and laparoscopic procedures. You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver high-quality surgical care and achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat benign and malignant colorectal conditions.
- Perform advanced laparoscopic and minimally invasive colorectal procedures.
- Manage pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
- Perform complex colon and rectal surgeries using evidence-based techniques.
- Collaborate with gastroenterologists, oncologists, radiologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and surgical records.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Fellowship in Colon & Rectal Surgery.
- Experience performing minimally invasive and laparoscopic colorectal procedures.
- Valid DOH License or Eligibility for Consultant licensure.
- Strong clinical, surgical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamwork abilities.
Salary & Benefits
Salary Range: AED 85,000 – AED 95,000 per month
