Role Overview – Specialist General Surgeon
As a Specialist General Surgeon, you will diagnose and manage a wide range of surgical conditions while performing elective and emergency procedures. You will collaborate closely with physicians, anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other specialists to deliver safe, evidence-based surgical care and achieve the best possible patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine and emergency general surgical procedures.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients requiring surgical intervention.
- Perform laparoscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures where appropriate.
- Provide pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams for comprehensive treatment planning.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and surgical records.
- Follow hospital protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing medical education.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
- Specialist qualification in General Surgery.
- Female Specialist General Surgeon.
- Competent in performing routine and emergency general surgical procedures.
- Laparoscopic training and hospital-based surgical experience preferred.
- Eligible for DOH Specialist licensure.
- Available to join within 1–3 months.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary teamwork skills.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: AED 45,000 to AED 55,000 per month
