Robotic Surgeries To Start In Dubai
In the near future, the DHA (Dubai Health Authority) will be introducing robotic surgeries for certain specialties.
One such surgery is knee replacement surgery, which already utilises a three-in-one system known as O-Arm that gives surgeons a real-time view of the patient’s anatomy utilising high-quality images and both 2D and 3D. This system will also be used for spinal and pelvis surgeries.
They will also begin utilising robotic surgery to help surgeons perform complex surgical tasks with accuracy and precision.
Doctor Expat’s CEO Kaneez commented: “It is fantastic to hear that Dubai is once again on the cutting edge of medical technology. It is no surprise why Dubai is the premiere destination of choice for Doctors, as they know they will be working with this fantastic technology. Ten years ago this may have been dismissed as science fiction, and it is so exciting that this technology has become a reality and can be helpful to so many people.”
